Become a Scratchpad Ambassador
Scratchpad Ambassadors are enthusiastic experienced Scratchpad users that support the Scratchpad team, helping to build a virtual research environment where communities of researchers can build, share, manage and publish their research data on the Web. Scratchpads are an easy to use, social networking application that will make researchers' and students' working lives happier by facilitating their online research communities.
We want to invite YOU to be part of this digital revolution by becoming a Scratchpad Ambassador.
If you are a Scratchpad maintainer or user and you are enthusiastic about Scratchpads and you'd like to spread the word about Scratchpads in your research community then here’s your chance!
We are recruiting a select group of Scratchpad Ambassadors to be the official local representative of the Scratchpad community, linking the Scratchpad team with Scratchpads' growing user base.

What you do:
Spread the word about Scratchpads in your university/institution in any way that suits you.
Some things you can do are:
- talking to colleagues about Scratchpads;
- putting up posters to promote Scratchpads;
- arranging or giving training or demos to your colleagues on Scratchpads;
- be the focal point of local Scratchpad expertise, sharing useful tips and tricks that your users discover;
- promote the use of Scratchpads in your community;
- provide support to new local Scratchpad user communities;
- provide support to local users in languages other than English;
- or any other good ideas you might have!
You will be our point of contact person for Scratchpad users in your area, and in that way you will also help us better understand the needs of your users, so that the scratchpad developers can keep improving Scratchpads.
And now some of the benefits:
You will:
- be a part of a virtual research environment development team where innovative research tools are being developed;
- become the official representative of Scratchpads in your community;
- be the first to learn about what’s going on at Scratchpads;
- get access to new features before others do;
- be the first to know Scratchpad version 2.0;
- get the opportunity to take part in version 2.0 beta testing and give feedback to the developers to meet your specific needs;
- interact with our scratchpad developers team and other ambassadors and make important contacts;
- have the possibility for receiving financial support to give a Scratchpad training in your institution;
- and last but not least: you get an ambassadors’ badge on your online profile (if you like)!
