This eLearning package is based on the old Drupal 5 version of the Scratchpads. For the current Drupal 6 version you should use the training materials at http://scratchpads.eu/scratchpad-training-files.

This self-taught course is intended to help current Scratchpad owners develop their site building skills, and is estimated to take approximately three hours to complete. As you work through the course you will be given the opportunity to learn best practice and gain a better understanding of what the Scratchpads can do for you and your research community. Three hours is insufficient to cover all the Scratchpad features. However, the course provides an overview of the major site features and functionality. Activities are followed through a series of step-by-step instructions that users work through. These are accompanied by links to training videos with audio commentary provide an overview of the concepts and elements involved in each step required to achieve the task. Some sections include supplementary downloadable material that users will import into their site.

The course is designed for users that already have a Scratchpad. However, prospective Scratchpad users can complete elements of the course using the sandbox Scratchpad and in the future we will add the ability for users to create short term (24 hour) sites on demand. This will allow prospective Scratchpad users to complete the course in full. Navigate the following sections in turn to complete the course.
